One of the most beautiful aquariums on you tube and so well aquascaped.
Hats off to you, would love to see an update soon.
amazing….
Absolutely Amazing! The aquascaping is incredible..very natural looking.
IMO I prefer this to David’s but both are wonderful examples of how a reef tank should be executed!!
Quality – thanks for the post!
just needs a moray eel
Magnifique !!!
Bravo !!!
Hi Nyysaul
I hope you dont mind me replying for Stuart as he is extremely busy at the moment. With regards to the best books Reef Secrets by Fossa and Nilsen is good. My best advise would be to find yourself a local aquatic shop with a stunning display tank as this is always a good gauge of expertise.
Internet forums can also be invaluable as a source of information. We sponsor the U.S forum Reef central and the U.K based forum Ultimate reef. If you require advice we have our own subforum
Mr. Bertram. The ability to commend you fully via words escapes me. Bravo sir. I am a beginner enthusiast, and prior to engaging in developing my own, I was wondering if you could be so kind as to refer a novice to some beginner books on saltwater reef aquariums? Id like to have a firm base of knowledge as a beginning stage prior to taking my passion for this art further. Again, bravo, and thank you for your time.

Awsome Stuart. A real credit to all your hard work. It won’t be long before you start running out of room with all the growth.
All the best Chris, Northfield Plants
Hey, how’s it going stuart? Your tank is absolutely amazing, I can’t get over the size lol I saw you do a camera test. Are you going to shoot a new vid soon? If so, can’t wait! Are you running straight t5 lighting without halides and did you get around to building the walls around the tank? Thanks Tim
The ones with the yellow tail and nose are tiera anthias and the pink ones with the yellow stripes are tuka anthias
wat r these small red fishes??
I tried putting them back into the main display, but all the fish hid and some were lying on their sides…not good. I really tried everything and never want to go through this awful thing ever again
Can you please tell me what you treat your fish for when they have ich? I’m currently using seachem cupramine and it seems like it’s not working a week and a half into the treatment and the fish are still covered. Looks like a bunch of salt sprinkled all over them. I’m afraid I’m going to lose some more if I don’t act quick. I was thinking of putting them back into the main display because it’s their natural habitat, or will the ich take over?? Please tell me your approach. I hate hate ich!
I only syphon the gravel every 6-8 weeks with a custom syphon that I made from pipework.
Over the years David has become very good at gluing and placing corals with long tongs. The corals must be supported normally until the glue has gone off
That’s incredible, you really have to siphon the whole crushed coral bed. How many times a week do you do that? Lotta work, huh. One question I really really wanted to know for so long. How does David Saxby place his corals into the tank? He must dive in their to glue um’ down right?? Hbu as well? Thanks man
Thank you.
The tank is 220 x 150 x 70cm water depth.
I am a director and co owner with David Saxby of D-D The Aquarium Solution Ltd.
Most of the corals have been grown from small pieces which I have broken off and glued around the tank – I find they grow faster that way.
Cheers
It is an aragonite gravel
My last tank was sugar sand which looks nice but it blows all over the tank if it gets lifted into the water column – especially with high waterflow.
It is also easier to syphon the larger gravel to remove detritus even on such a large tank
Very important question, why do you and david saxby not have a sand substrate? What type of substrate is that? Thanks
Your tank looks just as nice as Saxby’s. I just started up a 125g and I’m very excited. How big is this tank and what do you do for a living? lol You have the best of the best corals. Well done man!
MAGNIFIQUE !!!!
soon
Struggling to get the video and music right
Stuart
