The Big Tank at The Georgia Aquarium

This exhibit was specially designed to house whale sharks, the largest fish species in the world. Schools of predatory trevally jacks, squadrons of small and large stingrays, enormous goliath grouper, largetooth sawfish and hammerhead sharks all ply the waters of this captive ocean habitat containing more than six million gallons of saltwater. The big tank is 4574 square feet of viewing windows, a 100-foot-long underwater tunnel, 185 tons of acrylic windows and the viewing window is 23 feet tall by 61 feet wide by 2 feet thick. You know how they let you swim with some of the fish? like the whale shark? i would be a little scared at first, but i would do it. a lot of people don’t like it when anything brushes up against them in the water, well try a WHALE SHARK brushing up against you……O.O that would like push you 10 feet LOL

dude, you have no reason to be afraid of that tank bursting open, it is 2 feet thick and can hold 6, 300, 300 gallons of water back, you should read the thing to the right of that part of the tank

I agree, it is amazing. There are several whale sharks in the tank along with the thousands of other fish.
